LOS ANGELES – Kootenai County Fire & Rescue arrived in Los Angeles Saturday to assist in battling fires that have destroyed at least 10,000 structures and killed 11 people.
Kootenai County firefighters will assist with several other Idaho units to fight which was about 11% contained as of Saturday morning.
“Our crews made excellent time, got some rest and gave the Engine a bath last night at a San Bernardino fire station and are now fully engaged!” the department said via social media.
The fires have created national dialogue surrounding the as well as for such an emergency.
