POST FALLS, Idaho – A crash involving a Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Deputy and his K9 partner occurred Wednesday morning, injuring the deputy.
The crash happened between the deputy and another vehicle at the intersection of Bodine Avenue and McGuire Road around 6:30 a.m.
As a result of the crash with the other vehicle the deputy then struck a power pole on the west side of McGuire.
Both the deputy and the K9 were transported to receive medical attention. The deputy received minor injuries and the K9 was uninjured.
The Idaho State Police responded to the crash and are currently investigating it.
