Law enforcement responds to Morrow County courthouse after bomb threat hoax

MORROW COUNTY, Ore. – UPDATE 7:50 p.m.

Chief Charles Byram of the Pendleton Police Department says the threat was a hoax.

Several counties also received these reports, per Byram.

UPDATE 7:15 p.m.

After a sweep of the courthouse, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office reports that nothing suspicious has been found.

According to a post from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, the Morrow County courthouse and Bartholomew building are being searched after a statewide bomb threat to all courthouses.

According to Lt. Melissa Camarillo with Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, Law enforcement, county fire departments and K-9 teams are currently sweeping the building.

Streets around the Morrow County Courthouse are closed due to the active investigation.

Lt. Camarillo confirmed this was a threat to all courthouses in the state of Oregon.
