Lawsuit brewing at Spokane’s No-Li over trademark claim

SPOKANE, Wash. – The local Spokane brewhouse No-Li is suing for trademark infringement of a Seattle-based brewhouse, Redhook Brewery.

This big and juicy lawsuit comes after No-Li claims that Redhook has used their trademark in their signature beer ‘Big Juicy,’ crafted back in 2016.

Redhook Brewery released the beer in question called ‘Big Juicy Ballard,’ alluding to the trademarked name with a Seattle neighborhood touch.

No-Li also expressed frustration with the marketing and promotional material associated with the new brew.

“This beer name not only mirrors the trademark of our top-selling craft beer, but they are promoting it extensively and placing it next to No-Li brands in Washington stores, leading to market and customer confusion,” No-Li said.

‘Big Juicy’ has become a market standout product, with No-Li claiming that it is their most successful brand at this time.

No-Li is asking for a few things in the lawsuit to help repair their name and pay for damages.

They will also pursue corrective advertising material and social media corrections, as well as pay for damages, including attorney fees and lost profits, whether direct or indirect.
