LEAVENWORTH, Wash. – Washington’s popular Bavarian-themed town was full of guests enjoying the holiday spirit before it was reportedly vandalized just a few days before Christmas.
The City of Leavenworth posted an update confirming there was an incident and said that the front street park is closed temporarily.
“Due to a property damage incident last night, the lawn area in Front Street Park is CLOSED temporarily. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore the usability of our downtown park,” said the BavarianTown on Instagram.
NonStop Local reached out to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office for comment on the incident but did not hear back.
The City of Leavenworth did not provide details as to when the park would reopen.
