OROVILLE, Wash. – Updated Aug. 3 at 3:42 p.m. – Evacuations for the fire on 60 Sunset Ridge Road have been lowered to Level 1 (be ready).
Original Coverage: Aug. 3 at 11:46 p.m. – Level 3 (go now) evacuations have been ordered for the area of 60 Sunset Ridge Road in Oroville due to a wildfire.
According to Okanogan County Emergency Management, the fire is rapidly moving east and north.
“Persons should be aware of their surroundings and take action Immediately! Wildland fire is rapidly moving east and north. Crest Drive, 9 Mile Road and Point Drive. If unable to evacuate safely, Shelter In Place. Evacuate away from fire,” the emergency management team said via social media.
