STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. – Updated Aug. 18 at 2:35 p.m. – Level 2 “be set” evacuations have been ordered for the 2,000 feet radius around Corkscrew Canyon Road due to the Wicked Drive wildfire in Stevens County.
The fire burned 100 acres between Corkscrew Canyon Road and Highway 291 Sunday afternoon.
According to Stevens County Fire District 1, the fire was difficult for fire crews to access due to rough terrain. Airplanes and dozers are assisting crews in handling the flames.
