Level 3 (Go Now!) evacuation orders reissued for Pioneer Fire

LAKE CHELAN, Wash. – Chelan County Emergency Management has reissued evacuation orders for the Pioneer Fire in Lake Chelan.

According to officials, the current evacuation levels are as follows:

– Level 3: From Prince Creek down lake to Lone Fir Creek. Level 3 (in red) indicates immediate evacuation.

– Level 2:From Moore Creek down lake to Prince Creek. Level 2 (in yellow) advises residents to prepare to evacuate quickly if necessary.

– Level 1 (down lake): From just past Lone Fir Creek to Safety Harbor Creek. Level 1 (in green) urges residents to stay alert and monitor fire conditions.

– Level 1 (up lake):From just past Fourmile Creek to Moore Creek. Level 1 (in green) advises residents to stay alert and monitor fire activity.

The Pioneer Fire began on June 8, initially covering 10-15 acres and expanding to 300 acres by the weekend. Firefighters are actively engaged in containment efforts for the fire.

Officials said the fire could burn until Halloween.
