Man arrested after knife threat at Coeur d’Alene apartment complex

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A man was arrested following a knife threat at an apartment complex in Coeur d’Alene.

Around 12:40 a.m., the Coeur d’Alene Police Department received a report of the threat between two men at the River View Collection Apartments.

Police identified the suspect with the knife as Ronald James M. Acre, 41.

Acre returned to his home and refused to communicate with law enforcement prompting a SWAT response.

Once SWAT arrived, Acre eventually exited his home and was taken into custody without further incident.

Acre was booked into the Kootenai County Public Safety Building. He faces one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon enhancement. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
