SPOKANE, Wash. – A Spokane man appeared in court on Monday after being charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a woman injured near Browne’s Addition.
According to court docs, the suspect who was identified as Rory Allen, 38, who is charged with hit-and-run involving injury following the incident Wednesday night.
Court docs said that Allen was driving nearly twice the posted speed limit when he allegedly struck a woman and left the scene.
The woman was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in critical condition with a possible brain injury, according to court docs.
Police said that Allen’s car was later found with significant windshield damage and what appeared to be hair embedded in the glass.
Allen was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to return to court on Jan. 22 for his arraignment.
