CHEWELAH, Wash. – A man died in the hospital after hitting a semi-truck near Chewelah on Friday.
Martin Drake, 51, and later died at Sacred Heart Hospital according to the Washington State Patrol.
Drake was traveling northbound and struck a semi-truck traveling southbound on the highway as he attempted to enter Bakie Road.
The cause of the crash is under investigation and WSP said it is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved.
WSP say the man driving the semi-truck was not injured and had a 9-year-old passenger who also was uninjured.
