SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Fire Department found a man dead inside a trailer after a fire destroyed it Wednesday morning in northeast Spokane.
SFD responded in just under 4 minutes to the 5000 block of North Bemis Street and found a trailer engulfed in flames around 3 a.m.
In an investigation firefighters learned that the cause of the fire was due to an electrical failure.
Firefighters worked quickly to attack the fire on the property to prevent it from spreading to the nearby house.
SFD said that during the attack on the fire, they found a man who appeared to be in his 60s dead inside the trailer.
The man has not yet been identified.
Major Crimes and Spokane Police Department are working with SFD to investigate.
