Man hit by train near Browne’s Addition, facing life-threatening injuries

SPOKANE, Wash. – A man was hit by a train Friday morning near the Browne’s Addition area of Spokane and is currently facing life-threatening injuries.

According to the Spokane Police Department, officers responded to the area of West 8 Avenue and South Cannon Street around 10 a.m.

Police also say the man was trespassing and lying on the tracks, and when he saw police officers, he ran and fell on the tracks and then got hit by the train.

The 25-year-old man is currently in surgery and reportedly facing life-threatening injuries. His status is unknown at this time.
