SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Medical Examiner has confirmed the name and cause of death for a man that was hit by a car on Sunday.
Paul Connelly, 43, was crossing near North Tschirley Road & East Dalton Avenue when he was hit.
Deputies said the driver was looking at Connelly’s parked car as he passed and then struck him while crossing the road. Connelly had reportedly made a delivery on the west side of Tschirley Road and was returning to his parked Kia when he was hit.
The medical examiner says the cause of his death was from blunt force injuries.
Deputies said that impairment is not believed to be a factor in the incident. The driver of the Subaru was released without charges.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
