COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – A federal grand jury in Coeur d’Alene indicted a man on Tuesday, charging him with sexual exploitation of a child.
Hazman Luay Nijmeh, 39 was previously convicted of distribution of child pornography and receipt of child pornography in May 2017, according to court records.
The indictment alleges that between August 2023 and October 2023, while Nijmeh was in federal prison in Arkansas, he used multiple cell phones to sexually exploit a child in the District of Idaho.
The attorney’s office press release stated that if convicted, Nijmeh could face a minimum of 25 years and a maximum of 50 years in federal prison for sexual exploitation of a child.
The press release also mentioned additional potential penalties, saying that he could face an additional ten years of consecutive imprisonment for the commission of a felony offense involving a minor when required to register as a sex offender.
