SPOKANE, Wash. – A man suspected to be involved in the disappearance of a woman from Airway Heights was apprehended by law enforcement on Tuesday.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), Joseph Parisien was taken into custody at 7:30 pm.
No additional details were provided by SPD.
A Monday SWAT standoff ended with the victim being brought to safety by law enforcement, but Parisien was able to run away on foot. He is suspected by Washington State Patrol of involvement in a Missing Indigenous Person Alert issued on Saturday.
Parisien has yet to be charged with a crime as of 9 pm and is on a temporary hold in Spokane County Jail.
