MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. — Police have taken the man who was firing gunshots within a home into custody following a SWAT standoff that went on for multiple hours.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department, the man was arrested around 9:50 p.m. after Crisis Negotiators coaxed the suspect into leaving the house unarmed. Throughout the standoff, the suspect fired a rifle inside the house toward the armored vehicles.
No SWAT Team members were injured.
According to SCSO, the suspect could face felony assault and additional charges as the investigation continues.
Specific details on the suspect are still unknown, and this incident is under investigation.

SWAT and other law enforcement are on the scene of a man who fired multiple shots in a home in Medical Lake.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), the man is armed and possibly suicidal. He is currently in a home in the 1000 block of North Olson Hill Court. SCSO said that they believe that the man is alone inside the house.
The Swat Team, Crisis Negotiators, and other assisting units are on the scene trying to end the dangerous situation. Neighbors are asked to remain indoors until the law enforcement can end the volatile situation peacefully.

SWAT is currently on scene of a shooting in a Medical Lake neighborhood.
According to the Cheney Police Department, multiple law personnel are on the scene at Nort Olson Hill Court and residents nearby are asked to stay in their homes. According to a resident in the area, Tara Lee Avenue and North Graham are being blocked off.
