Man wanted for multiple felonies arrested in Chewelah

CHEWELAH, Wash. – A man wanted for multiple felonies was arrested in Chewelah after a coordinated effort by local law enforcement on Friday.

The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office received information about a 36-year-old man wanted for multiple felonies. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office thought he might be headed to Chewelah.

Authorities claim that the man led Spokane County authorities on two pursuits, struck a patrol car, and attempted to run over a deputy in Spokane Valley on Friday morning.

The man allegedly has affiliations with the Hell’s Angels, causing Stevens County deputies to call in a Special Response Team to coordinate his arrest.

The sheriff’s office blocked off streets surrounding the residence where the man was purportedly located.

He was arrested after surrendering and then transferred to a Spokane County deputy and booked into Spokane County Jail on nine felony charges.
