SPOKANE, Wash. – A woman was robbed and had her purse stolen in the Spokane Valley last night. The man accused of robbing her was arrested Thursday.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Keith Thompson pinned the woman against her car while she was putting her child in her seat and took her purse. The child and woman were both unharmed.
Initial efforts to find the alleged robber with a K9 unit were unsuccessful, but the woman was notified of a fraudulent purchase made with her stolen debit card.
The sheriff’s office says deputies followed the purchases to Simpson, whose vehicle was seen driving a blue Ford explorer in Millwood around 5:30am Thursday morning.
Simpson was arrested in Millwood and transported to the Spokane County Jail, where he faces a robbery charge.
