MATTAWA, Wash. – A woman was killed in a Friday night crash near Mattawa caused by an alleged drunk driver.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, a woman was driving east from the intersection of Road-24 southwest when she was hit by a suspected drunk driver.
The woman was pronounced dead on scene by first responders, and her family has been notified. The three young people driving with the woman killed in the crash were sent to the hospital to recover from their injuries.
Sheriff’s deputies are still investigating the driver who hit the woman for speeding and DUI.
