PINEHURST, Idaho – A funeral service has been scheduled for a Pinehurst pastor found dead on April 23.
The memorial will be held at Kellogg High School on May 11 at 10 am.
Pastor Gene Jacobs of Real Life Ministries was initially reported missing before his body was found by Pinehurst Police Department.
“Initial indication is that Pastor Gene Jacobs died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the department said.
The announcement of Jacobs’ funeral service highlighted his dedication to family and his ministry.
“He loved Jesus and longed for the day to be in His presence…Gene committed his life to serving God and others, always willing to help in any way he could,” the announcement said.
A reception following the service will be held at Real Life Ministries following the celebration of Jacobs’ life.
