WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Former Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush will come together again next week for the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump, but at least one spouse, Michelle Obama, is sitting this one out. A statement from the Obamas’ office Tuesday didn’t say why the former first lady will not attend Trump’s swearing-in ceremony Jan. 20 at the Capitol. It’s the second time in two weeks Michelle Obama is not attending a gathering of former U.S. leaders and their spouses. She also did not attend last week’s state funeral in Washington for former President Jimmy Carter. All three former presidents and their wives attended Trump’s first inauguration in 2017.
