SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane County has appointed Chief Deputy Treasurer Mike Volz as acting treasurer following Michael Baumgartner’s resignation.
According to the Spokane County Board of Commissioners, Baumgartner stepped down after being sworn in as a . The county said Volz will serve as acting treasurer until the vacancy is officially filled.
Volz has served as chief deputy treasurer since January 2011 and has been a state representative since 2017.
