Minister accused of child molestation arrested in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – An ordained minister who was accused of child molestation, was arrested by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshal’s Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force (PNVOTF).

According to the U.S. Marshal’s Office, on June 21, around 11 a.m., Spokane County deputies and U.S. Marshal agents arrested Russell Anders at his home in the 1800 block of West Gardener Avenue.

The U.S. Marshal’s office reported that Anders was apprehended on an outstanding federal arrest warrant. He faces federal charges for producing child pornography and possessing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit content.

In addition, Anders has pending cases in Seattle for first-degree child molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor, exhibition of a minor, possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct in the first degree, and voyeurism. In Spokane County, Anders is charged with second-degree rape (incapable of consent) and first-degree voyeurism.
