KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho – A man from Montana was sentenced for trafficking drugs such as meth and fentanyl in his car.
Nicholas Moore, 35, was initially pulled over by the Idaho State Police (ISP) on January 7 following the discovery of marijuana in his car. Upon searching Moore’s car, ISP found over three pounds of meth, close to 1,000 fentanyl pills and more than $2,800 in cash.
During a court appearance on Jan. 8, the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office recommended a $200,000 bond for Moore, who later bonded out of jail in February. However, Moore found himself in trouble again when, on March 27, ISP intercepted him just 12 hours after pleading guilty to Trafficking Methamphetamine. Following a K9 alert, ISP discovered nearly one pound of meth and additional fentanyl pills in Moore’s vehicle.
On June 4, Moore again pleaded guilty, this time to Trafficking Methamphetamine and Possession of Fentanyl. Moore was sentenced on July 11.
