Mother dead after fall from apartment complex in north Spokane on Christmas, 2 children hospitalized

SPOKANE, Wash. – A woman is dead after what detectives are calling a possible “mental health crisis-related incident” that left two children injured on Christmas Day.

On Dec. 25, around 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a woman and her two young children who fell from an upstairs apartment at the 13100 block of North Addison Street in North Spokane. Spokane County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Detectives confirmed the mother of the two children died at the hospital.

The two children involved in this incident remain hospitalized and continue to receive treatment.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the woman, along with the cause of death, when appropriate.

This remains an active investigation.
