MOSCOW, Idaho – The mother of , one of the victims in the University of Idaho murder case, is speaking publicly for the first time on the Today Show.
In the interview with Hoda and Savannah, she shares her emotional journey, and the role faith plays in coping with her loss.
“It’s real, but I know where the girls are. And faith is really the basis of how you get up every morning when you have a loss this this deep,” Laramie said.
Karen Laramie, Madison’s mother, is launching a foundation to honor her daughter’s legacy.
Laramie made comments in the interview about the aftermath of the murders pointing to the case against the suspected killer,
“I feel like the legal system is not about the victims, and I’ll leave it at that,” she said.
The trial which has made national news has some of the families wondering when justice will be served.
“Some days, we are hopeful that justice will be served; other days, we are overwhelmed with hopelessness and sadness,” said the parents of Kaylee Goncalves.
