MOSES LAKE, Idaho – A man was arrested by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office in Moses Lake after trying to flee from deputies on Thursday morning.

On March 14 around 11 a.m., a Grant County deputy spotted a motorcycle without a license plate on North Block Street in Moses Lake.

The deputy tried to pull over the motorcycle but the motorcycle refused to stop and then took off.

A short time later, deputies saw the motorcycle cutting across a farm field along Potato Hill Road.

The motorcycle soon drove back onto county roads. The motorcycle continued along Road K-Southeast and Baseline Road East, failed to obey the stop sign at that intersection, and nearly collided with a tractor.

The motorcycle became mechanically disabled, and the driver was taken into custody without incident.

The driver identified as Vernon Little of Moses Lake was booked in the Grant County Jail for investigation of felony eluding.

Additional charges are being considered.

The motorcycle did not have a license plate or vehicle identification number and was impounded.
