SPOKANE, Wash. – A motorcyclist with a flattened tire allegedly attempted to speed away from Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies on Saturday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the motorcyclist was drunk and having trouble staying upright on his motorcycle when he was approached by sheriff’s deputies.

He was purportedly standing still in the road when the deputies drove toward him, at which point he allegedly attempted to drive away with a flat tire, which then shredded, causing him to fall on East Empire Way.

The sheriff’s office says that the cyclist was then arrested and was found to be over the legal alcohol limit.
