COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The National Weather Service issued an Air Quality Alert for Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai and Shoshone counties Saturday.

According to the weather service, lowered air quality could impact individuals who have respiratory issues.

“For unhealthy air quality, some members of the general public may experience health effects. Members of sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects,” NWS said.

People at-risk from lowered air quality should remain inside if possible. The alert lasts until 10 a.m. Monday.
