SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Wildfire season is approaching, and the Spokane Valley Fire Department is helping the community be wildfire-ready.
The department hosted a Neighbors Dumpster Day at the Lutheran Redeemer Church on Schafer Road on May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
People dropped off all flammable debris from their yards to be discarded. Firefighters say these days are necessary as wildfires increase.
