WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. – Drivers along State Route 26 will now have an easier time navigating the stretch between Dusty and Colfax.
Washington State University and the Washington State Department of Transportation have officially opened four new passing lanes.
The project includes two lanes on each side of the road.
This development aims to assist trucks and drivers struggling with the hilly terrain.
The passing lanes were part of an $11 million project that began in June 2022.
These improvements are set to help ease traffic and improve driving conditions on this busy road.
