SPOKANE, Wash. – The highly anticipated $13 million Children of the Sun Trail project will unveil its newest section on Friday, June 21.
The trail currently ends near the Hillyard neighborhood along East Columbia Avenue and will now extend two additional miles to East Euclid Avenue.
When completed, the trail will connect to the Centennial Trail along the Spokane River as well as to Spokane Community College campus.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of this section will be at the Wildhorse Park on June 21 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The trail will be open for use ahead of the event for those hoping to test out the trail on the way there!
