NEWPORT, Wash. – Newport High School is mourning the loss of a student
Student Tyler Cooper was a member of Spokane Community College Running Start through the high school.
“Tyler was a cherished member of our Grizzly family in Newport. Her creativity and artistic talent will be deeply missed at Newport High School and in the Running Start program at SCC Newport,” principal Steve Bouldin said.
The Newport High School community remembered Cooper on Monday, and a JV football game was canceled.
“She made a lasting impact on those around her. Our hearts go out to her family during this difficult time. We extend our deepest sympathies to her friends and loved ones,” principal Steve Bouldin said.
