NEWPORT, Wash – The Spokane County Medical Examiner has named the man who died in a house fire in Newport.
James P. Morrison, 82, died in the fire that was just off Highway 2 on Jan. 6.
Fire crews said they stopped the fire within six minutes, but the Morrison was found dead after they entered the burned home.
The cause and manner of death are currently pending.
