No injuries in car crash involving school bus near Mead

MEAD, Wash. — Spokane County Fire District 9 and other agencies are on the scene of a car crash involving a school bus. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

According to a spokesperson from Spokane County Fire District 9, the crash occurred at the intersection of Market Street and East Center Road in Mead on Thursday afternoon. At around 3 p.m., a car rear-ended the bus.

The children on the bus were unharmed and were promptly transferred to another bus provided by the Mead School District. The driver of the car is currently undergoing a medical evaluation according to fire crews.

The intersection was temporarily closed but is expected to reopen within the next 15 to 30 minutes.
