North Spokane coffee shop vandalized, owner turns incident into positivity

SPOKANE, Wash. – A new local coffee shop in North Spokane was vandalized Thursday night. The owner of is looking for information on the incident while also continuing her positive mindset among the frustration.

The owner Sigrid Houske took a different approach to the vandalism that occured to her newly opened coffee stand in north Spokane. She now is hoping to turn it into a positive experience that represents what she and her brand stand for.

“I want to be able to turn this into a positive thing and maybe next time give them orange spray paint (the coffee stands brand color). I’d even like to meet the person and make them a meal,” Houske said.

Houske has seen huge success at her North Spokane coffee stand and hopes to continue to share a positive light even in the midst of vandalism.

The vandalism left significant marks on the exterior of the building, which the owner believes could cost hundreds of dollars to repaint and repair.
