Northwest Naturals recalls cat food in Oregon due to bird flu risk

OREGON – Cat owners in Oregon are being alerted to a recall of Northwest Naturals’ 2-pound feline turkey recipe raw frozen pet food. The company announced the recall after the food tested positive for bird flu.

Oregon agriculture officials reported that the contaminated food resulted in the death of one house cat. The recall affects packages with “best if used by” dates of May 21, 2026, and June 23, 2026.

Those who purchased the affected cat food are advised to dispose of it immediately. Customers can contact the store where they made the purchase for a full refund.
