SHELTON, Wash – Idaho and Oregon State Police joined Washington State Patrol’s ‘One More Stop’ campaign to pay respect to a fallen trooper who died during a traffic stop.

He is the 33rd Washington State Trooper to die in the line of duty. The campaign’s namesake is taken from the last words he told fellow troopers the night he died.

Gadd was going to meet up with them after “one more stop.” The driver that killed Gadd was “impaired,” according to Washington State Patrol. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

“‘One more stop’ doesn’t just apply to Chris’ professional life. It’s who he was as a person,” Gadd’s wife, Cammryn wrote in a statement. “Constantly challenging himself to do better and be better for everyone around him. Especially for us, his family. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do.”
