COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Supreme Court has heard arguments in a long-running public records dispute involving state Attorney General Dave Yost and a watchdog group. The Center for Media and Democracy is probing the GOP attorney general’s dealings with the non-profit Republican Attorneys General Association or RAGA. In past years, RAGA organized a letter opposing clean air restrictions to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency signed by Republican attorneys general. The group also drew criticism for soliciting thousands of Donald Trump supporters to march on the U.S. Capitol in January 2021. At issue is whether Yost should be required to provide records to an appeals court and sit for a deposition.
