SPOKANE, Wash. – An intense knife and razor fight played out around 6 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Nora and Elm streets in the West Central neighborhood.

According to court documents, Kelly Cochran approached a woman parked in her car. He supposedly began berating her.

Documents said a neighbor, who did not wish to be identified, saw this and walked over to make sure the woman was safe.

She told him he was not, and so, the neighbor asked Cochran to leave.

Instead, according to the documents, Cochran “turns toward him and brandishes a razor blade from his right pants pocket.”

That’s when the neighbor pulled out his own blade and stabbed Cochran in the left cheek.

Then, according to the documents, Cochran said “Let’s do this for blood.”

The two fought in the intersection for roughly two minutes.

Another neighbor approached the men fighting and told Cochran to leave their neighborhood.

Cochran was arrested three blocks from the fight.

Police later said that no serious injuries were caused, but Cochran did have to have one stitch in his cheek before he was booked into the Spokane County Jail.

Cochran appeared in court Wednesday but he was disruptive and the hearing was quickly terminated.
