NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. — One person is injured after crashing into a tree in West Newman Lake.
According to Newman Lake Fire and Rescue, the driver lost control as he turned on West Newman Lake near Honeymoon on Saturday morning. His pickup truck climbed the bank and crashed into a tree.
The driver was able to get out of the totaled vehicle safely and was transported to the Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Newman Lake Fire and Rescue reminds drivers to remain cautious around sharp turns and on unpaved roads. Even with dry roads, cars can still quickly lose control and crash. These roads are not built for high speeds, and drivers should always be aware of their speed.
