OTHELLO, Wash. – The Othello Police Department arrested a man after he allegedly sold drugs to kids near a school in Othello.

On Sept. 26 an Othello School District principal informed police that there was a man potentially selling drugs to kids near the school.

The OPD school resource officers began investigating and collecting evidence. OPD connected the investigation to Reyes-Terezon and booked him into Benton County Jail, for two felony charges of distributing drugs to minors.

Further investigation led to a search warrant on Reyes-Terezon home. He was found by police inside his home on Thursday and after searching police found more illegal drugs.

He was arrested and booked into Sunnyside Jail on misdemeanor drug charges.

OPD reminded the public of protecting children’s safety and their diligence to community safety in a Facebook post.

“We have said this before and it’s something that cannot be compromised; we must protect our kids at all costs! We ask the community to continue to remain vigilant and for your continued support as we work together to keep our wonderful city safe.” OPD said.
