SPOKANE, Wash. — Three years ago Nicholas Decaro, more popularly known as “Coach Sin”, started a food truck with a hand-me-down truck and a few resources. But now on Nov. 15th, he is opening his first restaurant location.

Island Style Food is a very popular food truck around Spokane, and has the potential to become a very popular restaurant.

They currently serve many different types of food, including cuisine inspired by the Philippines, Guam and more.

The new restaurant location will be at 2931 N Division St, just north of where Ruby and Division meet.

To go from food truck to a restaurant in just three years is a huge accomplishment. So, Coach Sin wants to share some advice to local business owners and entrepreneurs on how to replicate his success.

Here’s advice he wants to share:

Lower overhead costs so that you can save money and invest it into the future of your business.Network with other business owners, ask questions about how they grew and take what you can to help your business.Know your customers and treat them as good as you can. Take the time to speak with them one on one and figure out what they appreciate so you can do more of it.Don’t take “no” for an answer. Work hard and stick to it. Results will come.

The new restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. for now. But the goal is to expand their hours when they are able to.
