ASOTIN, Wash. – Two people were injured and transported to the hospital after a plane crash yesterday near Asotin.
On March 17, around noon emergency personnel from Lewiston Fire Department, Asotin County Fire District 1, and the City of Asotin were dispatched to a plane crash approximately 30 miles south of Asotin.
The plane clipped a power line and went into the river. Boaters were near the crash and rescued the pilot and passenger from the water and took them to a nearby beach to await responders.
A Life Flight helicopter transported one patient and the other was transported to the hospital by ground.
