Police investigate shooting at Coeur d’Alene gas station, one injured

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Police are investigating a reported shooting at a Coeur d’Alene gas station in which one person was injured and transported to the hospital.

According to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, the shooting occurred at the 76 Gas Station located at 1750 West Appleway Avenue at around 3 p.m. on Friday. Police said both parties were contacted at the scene. Medics treated one person who suffered at least one gunshot wound before transporting them to the hospital.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Initial information suggests the shooting may have stemmed from a property dispute, but police said the investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who was at the 76 Gas Station at the time of the incident and may have information to contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department.
