Police pulled over a driver in Kent – and discovered their license had expired 43 YEARS ago.

Traffic officers stopped the car – a Honda – at a petrol station in Dover on Saturday, Dec. 7.

After inquiries, they discovered that the driver previously had their license revoked for a drunk driving offense – and had expired in 1981.

Kent Roads Policing said on X: “Officers on patrol in the Dover area stopped this vehicle and established that the driver’s license expired in 1981, having previously been disqualified for drunk driving.

“TOR issued and vehicle seized.”

TORs have replaced fixed penalty tickets and are given for minor traffic offenses where an officer considers further action is appropriate.
