Police warn of warrant scam in Montana

MONTANA – Scam calls are targeting residents in Western Montana, warning them of a nonexistent arrest warrant.

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office reported they have received calls about these scams. Officials emphasize that this is simply a scare tactic used by scammers attempting to access personal funds.

Deputies explain these scams often play on emotions, causing individuals to react impulsively by paying with unconventional methods like gift cards or cryptocurrency.
