Port Quincy receives $4.5 million to expand their railroad system

QUINCY, Wash. – The Port of Quincy Rail Infrastructure Expansion Project has received $4.5 million in funding which will help in expanding the railroad system in the area.

The project will help extend the rail road infrastructure from the existing railroad station to the east across Road O Northwest to the industrial zone on the north side of Quincy.

The entire “Port of Quincy Rail Infrastructure Expansion Project” is estimated to cost about $16 million, the above-mentioned $4.5 million provides assistance to the project with the initial phases as well as to help the Port of Quincy attract future funding.
