POST FALLS, Idaho — Kristofer Jon Siebers, 51, has been convicted of two counts of Lewd Conduct with a minor under Sixteen.

Siebers was arrested in 2022 after a mother found evidence of sexual abuse on her 14–15-year-old son’s phone.

According to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, deputies learned that several months had passed since the child and Siebers had been in contact. Officers posed as the child to reinitiate contact with Siebers through a “burner phone.”

Thinking it was the boy, Sieber agreed to meet up with the child again for a sexual encounter. When the suspect arrived at the scene, police arrested him.

The attorney’s office said during the investigation, it was learned that Siebers molested a different boy between 2015 and 2017.

Siebers pled guilty to both counts of Lewd Conduct with a Minor under Sixteen, a felony punishable by up to life in prison.

District Judge Barry McHugh sentenced Siebers to 30-year prison sentences for each count, with parole eligibility after 15 years. McHugh said there was “no indication that the conduct would have ceased but for the investigation having been initiated” and told Siebers, “A 14-year-old does not have the wherewithal to consent. That is not possible and should have never happened.”
